Southerns Ladies bow out of Finals.
Southern Districts Ladies Team bowed out of the Finals after a gutsy performance against Western Shamrocks in the Quarter Final of the Mna Cup.
Southerns Men defeat Greenwood in Quarter Final
Southern’s Men played Greenwood in the Quarter Final of the Consul Cup. The teams finished level at 1.9 to 0.12 after normal time, with Southerns overrunning Greenwood by 9 points to 3 in extra time.
Southerns Men are now looking forward to a semi-final against reigning champs Western Shamrocks next Sunday.
Last Game of the League
Southerns Mens team finished their league campaign with a 3 point loss to Morley after an open flowing game full of end to end action. Brian Coyle (pictured below) scored one of the goals of the season with a run from fullback to place a 30 metre drive to the back of the net.
Southerns Men Draw with Greenwood
Southern Districts Mens team finished level with greenwood after a bruising encounter in which southerns keeper Sean Hickey retired injured and was replaced by Gary Ramsey who stepped into the breach.
Southerns Ladies team put up a spirited display against the perennial ladies champions.
Southerns Men Draw with Finbarrs
Southern Districts Men finished level with St. Finbarrs after a spirited display @ Tom Bateman Reserve, Canning Vale last Sunday. It was good to see past players and coaches down supporting the team. We’re all looking forward to a strong finish to the season and building towards our championship campaign in September.
Southerns Ladies defeat Morley
Congrats to the Southerns Ladies team coached by Ciaran Glackin on their fine victory over Morley last Sunday. They are now looking forward to their next game this Sunday against Coastal Breakers.
